FAQ

Update: May 17th, 2021: For those who are definitely wondering where this book is at, I haven't given up yet, it's still going. 2020 was a harsh year and 2021, while it's letting up, hasn't been much better. I just want to apologize, yet again, for making everyone wait so long while I continue to get life straightened out on my end.

If you would like a refund for your order, you can submit a request by sending an email to [email protected]. Otherwise, I'll try to continue updating our social account at https://twitter.com/vodzine as I try to finalize the book. As I write this, I'm doing my taxes which have been weighing pretty heavily on my mind, but after that, I'll be free to finish things up.

If you're worried about this being all a scam, please don't be. The money is still in the bank, it hasn't gone anywhere, and I've been replenishing the bank fees from my own funds.

I just want to thank you all again for your understanding over the last year. I still love Voltron, I still love Sendak, and I want to actually do my best to try and see this project to its end.

If you don't see an answer to the question you have here, don't hesitate to reach out to us! We'll get back to you as quickly as we can!

Q: When does the pre-order window end? Will you sell extras later?
A: Pre-orders run through September 20th, 2019. If there are any items left over after everyone's pre-orders have shipped, they'll go up in the shop for sale in bundles or a la carte for a limited time.

Q: When will I get my zine?
A: UPDATE: Because of delays in finishing the book, shipment is now expected in February. I apologize for any inconveniences this may cause to anyone!

That mostly depends on how long it takes to get everything from the manufacturers, but shipments are estimated to begin early in November, 2019.

Q: How many copies do you need to sell?
A: In order to ensure that we can have everything printed, we need to sell about 100 books. In the event that we do not reach enough pre-orders, refunds will be issued and the zine will instead be released only in PDF form, probably on Gumroad.

Q: What is the age rating for this zine?
A: This zine is recommended for readers aged 13 and older.

Q: Does this zine have any ships in it?
A: While Victory or Death is not a ship-centric zine, it does contain a few fics that have ships in them. These include Sendak/Shiro and Sendak/Lotor.

Q: Do you have a list of contributors to the zine?
A: Yes! We have one right here!

Q: What charity does this zine benefit?
A: All net proceeds from sales of the zine and associated merch will benefit the Feline Community Network of Hobart, Indiana.

Q: Can you do any better on the shipping costs?
A: We wish we could, but the prices given are the best we could get from USPS after a great deal of research.

Q: Do you combine shipping?
A: Yes. The shop is set up to allow combined shipping, but there is a limit to how many books or bundles can fit into our packaging. Please contact us before you order if you intend to buy more than two books or bundles at a time.

Q: What about Customs and taxes on international orders?
A: Duties, taxes, and other Customs fees are solely the responsibility of the recipient. We cannot under any circumstances mark a parcel as a gift in order to alleviate these, sorry.
